A practical route to real qualifications
Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths are available from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2. Level 2 is equivalent to a GCSE grade 4 (C) and is accepted as a qualification by employers, further education colleges, and most apprenticeship programmes.
For young people who have found traditional GCSE routes challenging, Functional Skills offer a clear, achievable pathway with real value.
We deliver Functional Skills as stand-alone qualifications or as part of a wider provision programme. Exams are taken through our approved centre.

Levels available
Foundation skills in reading, writing, speaking/listening, and number. Ideal for learners building their confidence from the ground up.
Practical application of English and Maths in everyday contexts. A step towards Level 2 or alongside other vocational qualifications.
Equivalent to GCSE grade 4 (C). Widely accepted by colleges and employers. A strong foundation for further study or work.
