We match children to environments thoughtfully by considering their sensory needs, their social confidence and what kind of learning will work best for them right now.
Roper Yard
Structured learning in the heart of Canterbury
Our centre at Roper Yard in Canterbury is our primary base, offering a learning environment that balances structure with warmth in the heart of the city. It is a place where children settle quickly, supported by a sense of consistency, safety and genuine welcome.
Sessions take place in small, well-contained spaces that encourage focused one-to-one learning. Our team is experienced, stable and builds strong, consistent relationships with every child.
Roper Yard is also our approved exam centre, where students can sit A Levels, iGCSEs, Functional Skills and other qualifications in a familiar setting, supported by a team they know and trust.
Maypole Farm
Where nature does some of the teaching
Maypole Farm sits on the site of the old Maypole Airfield near Hoath, CT3 4LN. It is a working farm with animals, growing space and the kind of open, unhurried environment that helps children to decompress, engage and find their confidence.
Led by Jamie Pickles, the farm team offers vocational programmes that range from animal care and horticulture to forest school and outdoor enterprise as well academic pathways such as Functional Skills and Open Awards all set in an environment that allows learning to breathe.
Home & Community
For children who are not yet ready — or not currently able — to travel to a centre, we bring the session to them. Outreach tutoring is delivered at the young person's home or at an agreed community venue.
Home and community sessions follow the same curriculum and therapy informed approach as our centre-based provision. Many children transition to centre-based learning over time, at their own pace.
