Supporting the return to learning.
Targeted programmes for students with persistent absence, emotionally based school avoidance, or planned reintegration into mainstream or specialist settings.
Meeting students at the point of need
Persistent absence and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA) require patient, individualised responses. We have significant experience working with young people for whom attending school has become — for a range of reasons — genuinely difficult.
Our approach begins with trust-building, at the student's pace. Using the Thrive framework, we help students to regulate, to engage, and gradually to increase their confidence in learning environments.
Where reintegration into school or a new setting is the goal, we plan and support that transition carefully, in collaboration with the receiving school and the student's family.
