No two plans look the same.
Every child who comes to us receives a plan built around their specific needs, strengths, goals, and stage of development. We start from scratch, every time.
Tailored from the very first conversation
When a new student joins Tuition Extra, we begin with listening. What are their strengths? What have they found difficult? What do they enjoy? What are the family's hopes for them?
From this, we build a bespoke plan. This is a living document — reviewed regularly, adapted as the child grows and changes, and always co-created with families and, wherever possible, with the young person themselves.
Plans bring together academic, vocational, therapeutic, and wellbeing elements in whatever combination the child needs most right now.

What goes into a pathway
Initial assessment
We assess the child's academic level, emotional readiness, and any identified needs. This shapes the starting point for their plan.
Goal setting
Short and long-term goals are agreed with the family and, where possible, the young person. These anchor the plan and give progress something to measure against.
Programme design
A timetable and programme is built from the ground up — choosing the right subjects, format, frequency, and environment.
Regular review
Plans are reviewed formally at agreed intervals and informally as needed. We adjust quickly when something needs to change.
Family involvement
Families are part of the review process. We keep parents and carers informed and listen to their observations about how their child is doing.
